Breast Width
Measure the external base diamenter of the desired post-operative breast in centimeters and millimeters. If the breast borders need to be widened beyond the exisiting medial and lateral borders of the breast, this must be reflected in this measurement.
Lateral Pinch
Perform the same measurement technique at the point where the lateral inframammary fold joins
the chest wall. Again, pinch along the transverse axis. For the right breast, pinch the skin and fat with the index
finger of the left hand at the 1 o’clock position and the thumb at 7 o’clock. Secure the two thicknesses of skin in
your pinch and pull the skin fold away from the body. Measure the skin-fold thickness in mm using the provided
body fat calipers. Perform the same mirror image measurement for the left breast.
Height
Measurement from the point of breast break to the desired inframammary fold location (either natural or adjusted).
N-IMF (stretch)
Grasp the breast just above the areola and pull firmly upwards.
Once the skin of the lower pole of the breast is maximally stretched, measure in half centimeters from the
inframammary fold to the nipple.
N-IMF (rest)
Without distorting the breast, use a flexible tape measure to determine the
distance in half centimeters from the inframammary fold up to the nipple.
Projection
Measure the external base diamenter of the desired post-operative breast in centimeters and millimeters. If the breast borders need to be widened beyond the exisiting medial and lateral borders of the breast, this must be reflected in this measurement.
